    I live in Lake Arrowhead, Waleska, Ga.  which is in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains with my husband, Dan, my mother, Trudy, and our two dogs, Buddy and Charlie (and a few fish in the fishpond).  This is truly an incredible place to live.  We've been in this area for about 45 years and are still awed by the beauty of these hills, the foliage and all the wildlife.

    I returned to college when I was 45 years old and completed my M.Ed. in Counseling and Psychological Services, working in that area for 20 years.  My hobbies are writing, photography, gardening, reading and crafts.  In 2010 I wrote and published my book, A Nod to God.  It was such fun writing the poems, a little more difficult getting it ready for the publisher.

    I've been taking pictures for 50 years ever since my three children were born, but became serious about it some 6-7 years ago.  Since then I am rarely seen without my camera and when I don't have it, I always wish I did.  In 2005 my photo, "An Attitude", shown at the left won the Best Photo of the Year for the Cherokee Photography Club.  I took the picture in Italy while traveling with my son, Scott.  I've won several awards for my photography since.

    In 2010 I wrote and published my book, A Nod to God.  It was such fun writing the poems, a little more difficult getting it ready for the publisher.  I believe God has a wonderful sense of humor, which is something that is evident over and over again in the pages of the Bible.  I hope you, too, will discover the humor in form of irony, sarcasm, and exaggeration.
